Registration Instructions for
Spring Term 2008
Basic Requirements
Complete
a Class
Registration Form
(downloadable below).
If
not a current member, complete and sign the Membership and Waiver (downloadable below).
Make
payment by cheque or money order made out
to the Victoria Ballroom Dance Society.
You may pay by cash at In-person Registration. We are not equipped to take credit or debit cards.
How to Register
You
may register
In-person on Wed,
Apr 2nd from 8 to 9 pm at Cedar
Hill Recreation Centre or Fri, Apr 4th from 7:30 to 8:30 pm at Les Passmore Centre (Saanich
Silver Threads). If you are
new to VBDS and have some prior dancing experience please come to the
registration on Apr 2 to be assessed by one of our instructors for placement in
an appropriate class.
You
may drop off your registration at any
Wednesday or Friday Practice prior to registration nights.
If
you are not able to register in person you may mail your completed Registration Form and Waiver (if
required), with payment, to: VBDS

You
may register
In-person Late
on Apr 9th from 8 to 9 pm at Cedar
Hill Recreation Centre. Late
registrations require an additional $10 fee but the LATE REGISTRATION FEE DOES
NOT APPLY TO NEW MEMBERS. New
members may register up to and including the first class without penalty.
Registrations
are not accepted after Apr 12th. Mail-in registrations must be post
marked on or before Apr 9th.
Membership Fee
If
you are not already a member of VBDS you need to pay a membership fee along
with the class cost. You also need to complete and sign the waiver. Membership is currently $42 per year
but is prorated. The required fee
for April through August 2008 is
$17.50.

Some Policies
Partners
are not required but not guaranteed.
Ladies are strongly advised to come with a partner for the fullest
enjoyment of classes.
All
syllabus classes except Newcomer I have pre-requisites. Permission from the class instructor
after assessment is also acceptable.
Fees
are neither refundable nor transferable.
Class fees are not prorated.
Full-time
students (with current student cards) and persons with a disability get half
price on the class fees.
Class
Review Pricing - 50% off of Standard and Latin syllabus classes if you are also
taking a syllabus class at the same level or above in the same stream. Standard and Latin are two separate
streams.
Do
not attend a class until you have registered for it; instructors are not able
to accept payments or registration forms.
