underway from 7 - 8 pm at the Les Passmore centre.

DANCE PACIFICA 2008 – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
This year’s premier club event is on JUNE 14. Mark your calendar and
get your tickets early. Don’t miss the spectacular demonstration by
Ten Dance World Champions Misa Cigoj and Alexandra Malai. More
information on the VBDS website.
Most volunteers are required for 2 hour periods throughout the day
and evening: for example taking tickets and selling programs,
ushering, or marshalling. Other work involves decorating Friday
evening or removing decorations afterwards. Every little bit of time
you can spare helps make the event go smoothly. Your planning
committee is spending a lot of time getting ready, but they need your
help too!
To volunteer please send an E-mail to Diana, vbdsnews(a)shaw.ca,
subject line: Dance Pacifica Volunteer, and indicate your availability
(when and for how long).
Are there any specific skills you have that you would like to put to
use for the club?
Let’s make this the best Dance Pacifica ever! We need you help to

DANCE PACIFICA TICKETS are on sale from 8:15 pm until 9:00 pm on
Wednesdays at the VBDS practice at Cedar Hill Rec Centre. Look for
Sue just outside the door to the gym. Full day prices range from $40
to $85. Bring cash or cheque.

MYSTERY SHOES: A gentleman dropped off a pair of dance shoes at the
Victoria Dance Connection for Wanda. Wanda, however, is uncertain
as to the intended destination for these shoes. Are they for the
high school program? Are they a pair that was left behind by one of
her students and is being returned? They are certainly not meant
for her, as they don't fit--and they are not very stylish for a
lady. Would the aforementioned gentleman please contact Diana (the

inspiring and useful. They can be found on youtube by doing a
