SUMMER NEWCOMER I CLASS! Due to unprecedented interest, VBDS will
be offering a fully-fledged Newcomer I set of classes beginning
Tuesday, July 7, at the Salvation Army Citadel, 4030 Douglas Street.
The classes will run from 7:15 - 8:45 PM for a total of 9 weeks,
finishing on September 1. Registration will be held at the door
from 7:15 PM on July 7, so the first class will start and end
somewhat late. Early registration is strongly encouraged, however,
either by mail or by giving your registration to a Board member.
You must be a VBDS member to take these classes. Prorated membership
fee: $10, class fee $88 ($44 for full time students). For details

SUNDAY PRACTICES: The Sunday morning/afternoon practices will be
reverting to the summer schedule AS OF THIS SUNDAY (June 28), to
whit: Silver & up Standard 10 - 11 AM, Silver & up Latin 11 - noon.
The BRONZE practice is now already finished for the term and does
not continue in the summer. The last NEWCOMER PRACTICE for the term
is this Sunday (June 28). Newcomer practice will recommence in
September with the start of our fall classes.

VBDS JULY 11 DANCE will be held in conjunction with SAANICH SUNFEST.

DANCING IN THE SQUARE: Join us in Centennial Square on MONDAY nights
in July and August for the City of Victoria's Dancing in the Square.
VBDS will be offering free ballroom dance workshops from 7 - 8 p.m.
followed by live music from the Katzenjammers or Alan Singleton-Wood.
The dates are July 13, 20, 27 and August 3, 10, 17.

The VICTORIA BALLROOM DANCE SOCIETY FORMATION TEAM, under the
direction of Wanda Kivitt, is scheduled to perform June 26 at 8:20 PM
at the Grand Ballroom in Richmond as part of the Pro-Am Fiesta. Let's
have a round of applause for our intrepid performers and their
enthusiastic, dedicated instructor!
